Governor Brown, Legislative Leaders Strike Deal on Film and Television Tax Credit

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr., Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins, Senate President pro Tem-elect Kevin de León, Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, Assembly Republican Leader Connie Conway and Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff today announced a deal to expand, extend and improve California’s Film and Television Tax Credit Program.

Fresno County released its 2013 Annual Crop and Livestock Report on Tuesday, July 15 at the Board of Supervisors meeting presented by the County Agriculture Commissioner, Les Wright. Tulare County released its annual report a week earlier reflecting a $7.8 billion dollar gross production value, exceeding Fresno County's $6.4 billion for the 2013 year.

California Strategic Growth Council Awards $390,750 to Tulare County for a Sustainable Community Planning Grant

The California Strategic Growth Council SGC announced Tuesday $40.2 million in local assistance grants will lead more sustainable communities across California. A total of 73 individual awards will go to cities, counties, regional and local agencies, and nonprofit partners. All awards are funded through voter-approved Proposition 84 bond allocations.
